Lead architecture and development of embedded firmware for high-speed coherent optical transceivers. Design system software, develop algorithms and low-level drivers, perform RTOS debug, system bring-up, and cross-functional coordination with ASIC, DSP, hardware, product, and quality teams. Interface with customers on SW architecture and support product transition to manufacturing.

Lead architecture and development of embedded firmware for coherent optical transceivers. Design algorithms and low-level C/C++ code for RTOS and bare-metal CPUs, drive cross-functional requirements with hardware, ASIC, DSP, and optics teams, participate in system bring-up, debugging, manufacturing transition, and customer technical discussions.

Lead hardware engineering for high-speed coherent optical modules: define architecture, specifications, design, and validate hardware. Resolve complex transmission-line, power delivery, and analog/RF issues during NPI, collaborate with optics, DSP, and software teams, and perform hands-on lab debugging and testing.

Lead bring-up, verification, calibration, and production-test optimization of coherent optical transceivers. Collaborate with DSP, software, hardware, and PIC teams to maximize performance, minimize power and size, and improve manufacturing yield and test automation.

Serve as the primary customer technical contact for quality and failure analysis of coherent optical pluggable transceivers. Perform detailed failure analysis using BER, OSNR, Q Factor, FEC and other coherent optics diagnostics; apply standards (400ZR, OpenZR+, OpenROADM, OTN) to resolve issues. Collaborate with product, manufacturing, and supply chain to drive corrective actions, support escalations, and deliver technical reports and presentations to improve product reliability.

Lead research, design, and deployment of large-scale foundation models for machine-generated data (logs, time series, traces). Define AI strategy, mentor senior engineers, partner with product and exec teams, and drive production-grade model training, optimization, and MLOps for enterprise-scale applications.

Support new product introduction and drive design for manufacturability for coherent pluggables and embedded modules. Develop assembly/inspection instructions, train technicians, enable CM transfers and volume ramp, design tooling/automation, apply SPC/FMEA/DOE to improve yields, and lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Lead end-to-end program management for wafer- and component-level silicon photonic devices from pre-concept to first production shipment. Coordinate cross-functional teams, foundries, and suppliers to meet time-to-market, cost, yield, and volume ramp targets while driving process capability, packaging, test, and yield improvements.

Lead verification of next-generation 100G–1.6T coherent optical ASICs: create test plans and benches, apply advanced verification techniques, supervise execution, drive chip-level tradeoffs, review coverage and code, mentor engineers, and improve verification processes.

Design, develop, and deploy manufacturing test solutions for optical transceiver NPI and volume production. Program and optimize automated test systems, support offshore contract manufacturing, perform product debug/RMA failure analysis, and drive continuous test and process improvements to meet cost, yield, and delivery targets.
