Lead Buffer’s security strategy and execution as a hands-on security engineer. Responsibilities include application and API security, secure development practices, AI threat modeling, incident leadership, vulnerability disclosure, SOC 2 and customer compliance, security automation, and infrastructure risk assessment. The role partners closely with engineering and business teams, writes and reviews code, supports on-call operations, and establishes security standards in a distributed SaaS environment.

Leads engineering for Buffer’s Growth area across acquisition, activation, and retention. Coaches engineers, shapes priorities with Product, Design, Marketing, and Data, guides technical decisions, connects customer insights to measurement, supports AI-enabled development, and contributes to hiring and engineering practices. The role requires strong technical judgment, product-growth understanding, clear communication, and experience helping engineers develop in a distributed environment.
