Design and scale backend data infrastructure for Beacon’s Datastore, including PostgreSQL models, Kafka event pipelines, GraphQL APIs, and warehouse dataset snapshots. Lead architecture for complex systems, write and tune SQL, debug cross-system issues, author RFCs, and collaborate with scientific, clinical, product, and engineering stakeholders. Mentor engineers, improve tooling and documentation, and strengthen operational reliability and data integrity across clinical and digital health platforms.

Design and scale backend data infrastructure for Beacon’s Datastore platform. Build PostgreSQL data models, Kafka-based event pipelines, GraphQL APIs, and warehouse snapshot pipelines. Lead technical designs, integrations, and service development while ensuring data integrity, idempotency, and resilience. Collaborate with scientific, clinical, product, platform, and application teams to support clinical-study workflows. Improve operational robustness through documentation, tooling, dashboards, and maintainable services in a remote environment.

Provides technical leadership throughout the enterprise customer lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, implementation, integration, adoption, and expansion. Partners with Sales, Product, Engineering, Clinical, Support, and Operations; manages integration partners; translates customer requirements into scalable workflows; supports healthcare security and compliance approvals; develops dashboards, playbooks, documentation, and training; and communicates customer insights to product teams.

Own the full commercial contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiating, redlining, execution, renewals, and repository management. Negotiate pharma, biopharma, clinical trial, SaaS, licensing, device supply, vendor, and data agreements. Advise on data ownership, licensing, secondary use, HIPAA, and GDPR issues; support FDA-cleared device commercialization; maintain templates and playbooks; and provide clear guidance to internal stakeholders while reporting to the General Counsel.
