The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance real-time visualization software for Medtronic’s cardiac mapping and ablation system. Responsibilities include desktop UI development, network and serial device communications, asynchronous integration, performance optimization, fault recovery, automated testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware, QA, and DevOps teams. The engineer will also participate in pre-clinical in-vivo system evaluations and work onsite at least four days per week.

Leads DevOps engineering for medical software, improving build systems, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and deployment automation. Maintains Bitbucket/Bamboo infrastructure, supports Python, C++, and Qt applications, troubleshoots environments, and contributes to disaster recovery, security, compliance, and data protection. Requires expertise with CMake, Bazel, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, artifact management, and observability tools.

Develops clinician-facing UI features for the Affera Prism cardiac electrophysiology mapping system using Qt/QML, Python, and C++ on Linux. Translates UX designs into responsive interfaces, owns moderately scoped features, contributes to subsystem design, debugs across components, and participates in reviews, testing, integration, and documentation.

As a Sr. Software Engineer - UI/UX, you will lead UI features in Qt/QML, collaborate with UX designers, mentor engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions.

Lead end-to-end planning and execution of complex software programs for cardiac medical devices. Coordinate software, systems, quality, regulatory, clinical, manufacturing, and commercial stakeholders; manage integrated plans, dependencies, risks, resources, governance, and release readiness. Provide executive communications, facilitate decisions, and drive accountability across a matrixed organization.
