Lead Affirm's business and financial communications to build trust with investors, financial press, and capital partners. Own earnings and major-news communications, craft narratives from financials, prepare executives for high-stakes media, and align business/financial messaging across teams to ensure consistent, proactive storytelling.

Independently validate and monitor machine learning models for credit underwriting, credit risk, and fraud detection. Identify model weaknesses, recommend improvements, and collaborate with model owners to remediate findings. Support and maintain the Model Risk Management framework and coordinate with Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and Compliance on audit and regulatory requests.

As a Machine Learning Engineer II, you will enhance AI systems for automating customer operations, develop evidence extraction pipelines, and collaborate with teams on model development and deployment.

Lead the Affirm Card and Card Platform strategy and roadmap, manage and scale a team of PMs, own business metrics (GMV, engagement, unit economics, credit), drive platform capabilities (authorization, servicing, APIs), partner with Engineering, Finance, Credit, Legal and external partners, and represent the Card domain in executive planning to deliver scalable consumer card products and integrations.

Own and drive the long-term vision and architecture for Affirm's consumer experience across mobile, web, and future surfaces. Build and evolve design systems, navigation, information architecture, and shared React Native platform capabilities. Lead large cross-functional initiatives, set standards and governance, partner with Design and Engineering, and use research and analytics to improve consumer journeys and consistency at scale.

Build, operate, and scale backend systems for card issuing and transaction processing. Break down projects, collaborate with product and cross-functional teams, write tested extensible code, support monitoring and on-call operations, and participate in team growth activities including interviews.

Lead design and implementation of Affirm's Lakehouse Platform using Iceberg, Spark, Snowflake, and cloud storage. Drive platform roadmap, governance, access controls, performance and cost optimization, analytics engineering best practices, observability, and on-call readiness. Partner cross-functionally, mentor engineers, and build scalable, secure, self-service data infrastructure and semantic/agentic data tools.

Lead AI-driven product design initiatives to create hybrid search/discovery and agentic interfaces. Define design language for proactive, conversational experiences; prototype multi-modal flows; partner cross-functionally to execute roadmaps; prioritize trust, scalability, experimentation, and polished interaction and visual design for consumer financial products.

Build and operate ML training and serving infrastructure; design, develop, and launch backend systems; collaborate across teams to decompose projects; maintain availability through monitoring and on-call support; review and debug large codebases; contribute to hiring and team growth.
