Designs and develops optical and optomechanical systems for ophthalmic medical devices, including imaging, light delivery, tooling, fixtures, and verification testing. Collaborates with hardware, software, mechanical, research, quality, and manufacturing teams from concept through production. Uses Zemax and SolidWorks while applying medical device design controls, FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and optical characterization methods. Provides technical direction and supports prototyping, manufacturing handoff, sustaining engineering, and regulatory-aligned validation.
