Supports the Legal, Compliance & Risk Department through regulatory research, compliance risk assessments, policy gap analyses, client due diligence, MNPI controls, record retention, broker-dealer compliance, and exam management. The role collaborates with legal, compliance, investment, trading, operations, and administrative teams on regulatory initiatives and process enhancements.

Supports the Financial Reserves Management team with client and prospect presentations, research, reporting, client analysis, competitor analysis, and fundraising target lists. Collaborates with relationship management, product, portfolio management, legal, compliance, and operations teams. Attends client portfolio reviews and contributes to strategic projects, reporting improvements, and business development initiatives within an investment management environment.

Supports Wellington Management’s Private Investments Legal Team with fund and deal document review, database and document management, gap analysis, record retention, signature coordination, and legal and regulatory research. The role provides exposure to private equity and private credit transactions, corporate governance, regulatory developments, and financial services operations. Strong organization, problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, and Microsoft Office skills are required. Only Northeastern University students are eligible.

Supports Financial Operations and Analysis by updating revenue reports, analyzing asset and revenue trends, producing portfolio manager reporting, and assisting with FP&A efficiencies. The role uses Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python, relational databases, and AI tools to automate reporting and create analytical models. The Co-op also handles ad hoc analyses and reporting requests for departments including accounting, financial planning, product management, research, and portfolio management.

Supports hedge fund financing operations by analyzing margin requirements, managing collateral, optimizing cash across prime brokerage accounts, and reducing financing costs. The role generates reports, identifies exposure risks, develops analyses using Python, SQL, Tableau, Access, and Excel, and collaborates with portfolio management, trading, legal, tax, clients, and external service providers. This co-op includes cross-training and exposure to fund servicing operations.

Supports global talent development operations, including Learning Management System administration, workshop and development event coordination, vendor management, online learning, and talent management activities. The role requires detail orientation, analytical ability, flexibility, confidentiality, discretion, and professional communication. The co-op will gain experience in learning operations, project and program management, analysis, and communication while cross-training across talent development functions.

Supports the global third-party risk management program through vendor onboarding, risk assessments, data validation, compliance monitoring, issue tracking, process documentation, and vendor lifecycle management. Collaborates with subject matter experts, business partners, sourcing teams, clients, and vendors. May also assist with business resilience and corporate insurance initiatives.

Supports the Equity Trading Desk by confirming and affirming transactions, resolving trading discrepancies, relaying broker activity, obtaining stock borrows, maintaining broker networks, overseeing commission programs, and producing daily reports. The role also performs research commission reconciliations and assists the Trade Coordination Manager. Cross-training is provided, and the position is open only to Northeastern University students enrolled in the co-op program.
