Provides technical leadership for designing, building, and scaling distributed software systems supporting a virtual healthcare platform. Responsibilities include writing high-quality code, guiding architecture, developing AI-powered clinician tools and agents, mentoring engineers, and partnering with product and clinical leaders on technical strategy. Requires extensive software engineering experience, database and systems expertise, modern frontend framework experience, and proficiency in one or more programming languages.

Lead and grow the IT Support Engineering team while owning IT systems, identity and access, device management, SaaS tools, vendor relationships, procurement, onboarding, offboarding, automation, and IT roadmap execution. Partner with Security on HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST controls. The role requires hands-on technical leadership, executive support, and experience managing distributed-company IT operations.

Leads new patient acquisition and full-funnel DTC growth across offline and partner channels, including podcasts, radio, TV, direct mail, and affiliates. Builds testing and optimization programs, manages acquisition budgets and agency relationships, improves funnel conversion, and collaborates with Product, Clinical, and Operations teams to support patient trust and satisfaction.

Lead the Patient Growth product team to define and execute full-funnel acquisition, activation, and re-engagement strategies. Invent new channels, run rapid MVPs with engineers and marketers, apply AI and ops experiments, and use data-driven insights to scale enrollment and reduce churn for Pomelo’s virtual care.

Lead and implement security engineering controls across the platform: identify real risks, build secure-by-default libraries and guardrails, enforce least-privilege for services protecting patient data, harden developer machines, and partner with compliance to convert requirements into effective technical controls.

Lead technical direction for patient-facing mobile and web products, rapidly prototype and ship features with product/design/clinical teams, mentor engineers, set architecture and development standards, and use AI tools to improve patient engagement, retention, and outcomes.
