QuEra seeks a Quantum Scientist for experimental calibration and benchmarking in quantum computing, collaborating with teams and customers to enhance product development.

The Principal Mechanical Engineer will design and integrate mechanical systems for quantum computers, ensuring high precision and performance through collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Lead AI initiatives for quantum system operations: define roadmap, prioritize bounded-AI pilots for calibration and readout, ensure model validation, observability, safety gates, and cross-functional execution to reduce calibration time, failed jobs, and recovery time.

Maintain and integrate hardware and software systems for quantum controls, manage lab and test infrastructure (HIL, K8s, networking, rack servers), automate provisioning and CI/CD, implement monitoring/alerting and observability, support incident response and root-cause analysis, and define operational procedures to ensure reliability across development and production environments.

Design, architect, and deliver complex optical and opto-mechanical systems for neutral-atom quantum computers across R&D, productization, and maintenance. Collaborate with physicists and R&D, troubleshoot at headquarters and customer sites, advance engineering practices, and enable transition of scientific advances into manufacturable products.

Conduct research at the intersection of quantum computing and AI, developing algorithms and integrating them into practical AI workflows. Responsibilities include innovation across simulation, optimization, and quantum machine learning domains.

Develop orchestration and control software for quantum hardware, including real-time control, APIs/middleware, synchronization, diagnostics, calibration routines, tooling for automation and testing, and participate in integration and cross-disciplinary debugging.

The Optical Scientist will design and develop opto-mechanical systems, troubleshoot optical setups, and improve quantum computing technologies, collaborating across disciplines.

Develop and implement quantum error correction protocols and decoding algorithms, collaborating with academic and industry partners on a Rydberg atom quantum computer.
