The role also establishes processing procedures, maintains standards, and assists with regulatory and compliance assignments.

Manages Massachusetts workers’ compensation litigation from claim inception through court proceedings. Represents employers and carriers at administrative hearings, conducts legal research, develops defense strategies, prepares pleadings and motions, communicates with clients and opposing parties, and advises claims professionals. Also contributes to training materials, special projects, case resolution, and continuing legal education.

Supports workforce planning and audit workload allocation across internal staff and external vendors. Monitors capacity, inventory, service levels, productivity, quality, and timeliness; analyzes trends and operational data; develops performance metrics, procedures, staffing models, and forecasts; reconciles vendor invoices; and provides reporting and recommendations to improve premium audit efficiency and outcomes.

Provides specialized customer support for premium audit inquiries through calls, chats, and email. Reviews audit files, policies, financial records, and documentation; explains audit results and classifications; resolves escalations; and supports compliance.
