Underwrites excess and umbrella casualty risks by selecting or rejecting business, pricing coverage, setting terms, assessing risk quality, and supporting profitability. The role develops broker and agent relationships, markets insurance products, applies underwriting guidelines and regulations, reviews risk reports, and initiates loss prevention actions. Frequent day and overnight travel is required for business development and account management.

Manage a complex nationwide portfolio of commercial casualty claims, particularly construction-related, contractor liability, New York Labor Law, and excess exposures. Responsibilities include coverage analysis, investigations, reserves, litigation strategy, negotiations, claim resolution, and collaboration with defense counsel, underwriting, legal teams, brokers, and insureds. The role requires maintaining adjuster licenses, monitoring claim trends, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing technical expertise on complex claims.

Investigates, evaluates, and resolves workers’ compensation claims, including coverage and liability reviews, settlements, reserves, payments, and compliance. Handles arbitrations, mediations, depositions, and trials as needed. Communicates claim decisions to stakeholders, provides technical guidance, and may coach or manage staff. Requires multi-state adjuster licensing and substantial workers’ compensation claims experience.

Develops and manages enterprise business intelligence products, including semantic models, governed definitions, metadata, dashboards, and AI-assisted analytics capabilities. Translates complex business needs into measurable analytic solutions, advises stakeholders, supports adoption and training, and manages product lifecycle, quality, performance, and business impact. Partners with product managers and business leaders to prioritize work, manage risks, communicate value, and guide less experienced team members.
