5 Boston tech events you should go to this week

Every week, we bring you the best events in Boston tech. This week's roundup includes the annual HUBweek celebration, a weekly hack night, an opportunity to learn about global team-building, and a World MBA Tour, where you can meet face-to-face with admissions directors from a range of top business schools and figure out whether an MBA is right for you. HUBweek, September 25-October 1

HUBweek is a weeklong celebration of innovation and creativity that includes events and experiences that showcase what’s happening at the intersection of art, science and technology across Boston and Cambridge. Attendees can pick and choose from 100-plus events that take place all around Boston and Cambridge, or even pick up a concierge pass that gives access to exclusive new events.

Weekly hack night, September 27, 7 p.m.

Code for Boston is hosting their weekly work session at the Cambridge Innovation Center in Kendall Square, on the fourth floor in the cafe. These Hack Nights are a time to meet other coders in person to work on and discuss civic tech projects. Go say hi and hack with them!

Tips on how to work with a global team, September 28 at 6 p.m.

Dr. Marion Estienne, founder at consulting firm 3sixtyglobal will be giving a speech at the Cambridge Innovation Center about how global teams working virtually can overcome their differences to have successful outcomes. In this workshop, Dr. Estienne will look at several techniques that can be used to reconcile differences.

World MBA Tour, September 29 at 4:30 p.m.

If you’ve considered getting an MBA but can’t decide whether a program would be right for you, this event is a must.  Hosted by QS, attendees can meet face-to-face with admissions directors from a range of top business schools like Wharton, Babson College and Harvard. It will take place in the Back Bay Events Center at 180 Berkeley Street. Register here.

MongoDB Evenings Boston, September 29 at 6 p.m.

MongoDB is an open source, document-oriented database designed with developer agility in mind. At this event, MongoDB reps will tell you about the latest updates and tools they offer, like WiredTiger (now the default storage engine), MongoDB Compass and MongoDB's new database-as-a-service, Atlas. Register here for free, but know that space is limited. There will also be soda and pizza!
