General Market Perception

Charted, Inc. is recognized as a small but growing organization - doubling headcount in the last year, while maintaining a 4.5 star rating on Glassdoor.

Charted has won numerous awards in the last few years, including ranking #218 on the Deloitte Fast 500 in 2024, ranking #1,916 on the Inc. 5000, and being shortlisted for the FinTech Awards. Despite this monumental growth, employee satisfaction remains high. Not only does Charted have satisfied employees, Charted has a 95% customer retention rate and high CSAT scores.

Tradeoffs

Working at a small organization naturally has some challenges. When a person leaves, the impact is felt more when teams are smaller, and when a large project looms it can be all-hands-on deck. However, leadership is always committed to ensuring people are taking regular PTO and attempts are always made to appropriately backfill positions and set up chains of command to ensure work doesn't fall to the wayside or end up burdening employees.

Employees can also struggle with the high visibility at a small organization - everyone has a direct and visible impact on what we do. This also means sometimes taking on responsibilities outside a standard job description as we continuously push for growth and innovation at Charted.
