Charted, Inc. Innovation, Technology & Agility

Updated on October 29, 2025

Innovation Pace

Charted demonstrates innovation at every level—from product design to internal operations.
Over the past year, Charted has launched three groundbreaking capabilities that redefine how businesses manage accounts payable:

  • Accrual Automation enables customers to automatically calculate expenses that haven’t yet been billed, eliminating manual estimation and improving financial accuracy.
  • Touchless Invoice Processing uses AI to process standardized invoices entirely without human intervention, freeing AP teams from repetitive work.
  • International Payments expands our payment automation suite globally, allowing customers to pay vendors in local currencies directly within our platform.

Innovation at Charted extends beyond product releases. Our leadership team champions an AI-first approach, embedding intelligence not only in the product experience but also in how we build, test, and deliver software. A dedicated R&D function explores emerging technologies and prototypes new ideas that later evolve into customer-ready features.

Together, these initiatives showcase a culture of continuous improvement at Charted—where innovation isn’t a department, it’s our default operating mode.

Tools & Technology Quality

Charted continues to operate in a start-up mentality, where efficiency and innovation work hand-in-hand to drive growth. Different departments use different AI-enabled tools designed for a specific purpose, to ensure the right tool is being used for the correct job. This policy ensures Charted can continue to deliver premier NetSuite-native solutions while maintaining a lean structure that is always working efficiently.

Our Product team holds monthly AI training sessions to continuously refine how we use AI for research, content creation, user-experience design, and product strategy. Meanwhile, our Engineering team not only uses AI for code generation but also but also for architectural analysis, automated refactoring, test case expansion, and performance optimization. Code reviews increasingly include AI-assisted validation to detect regressions and security vulnerabilities early in the lifecycle. Our CI/CD pipelines leverage AI-based analysis to flag anomalies, improve build reliability, and shorten feedback loops and accelerate release cycles without compromising quality.

Even this award submission reflects that commitment—written collaboratively with the same AI systems that power the innovation of Charted every day.

Adoption of Emerging Tech

Charted embraces new technology faster—and more completely—than most companies its size.
AI is not a future initiative at Charted; it’s a fully integrated part of how we work today. Every stage of our product lifecycle—from ideation and design to development and delivery—incorporates AI-driven tools and workflows. This has enabled our teams to operate at significantly higher capacity and speed than industry benchmarks.
