Charted, Inc. Work-Life Balance & Wellbeing

Updated on October 29, 2025

Workload Sustainability

At Charted, we take work-life balance very seriously. We’re fully remote, with a Boston office for those who prefer a hybrid setup, and we trust our employees to manage their work and schedules responsibly. We understand that many team members have children or other commitments, so we provide flexibility and treat employees like adults. We maintain clear lines of communication, regularly assess workloads to prevent burnout, and offer unlimited vacation time to help employees recharge.

In addition, we encourage employees to set boundaries and prioritize their well-being, and we support professional development alongside personal needs. Our leadership models this balance, and we have resources like wellness programs and mental health support to help employees manage stress. Overall, our approach is focused on results, well-being, and creating a supportive environment where employees can thrive both professionally and personally.

Flexibility Options

As a remote-first organization with an unlimited PTO policy, Charted employees are encouraged to strive for balance. Leadership at Charted understands that well-rested employees are able to perform at a higher level. Leadership models this by taking their own vacations as well and enabling employees to handle their workloads independently.

Mental Health Support

We take mental health and well-being seriously and offer multiple ways to support our employees. This includes access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential counseling, wellness resources, and tools like mindfulness apps. We encourage employees to take time off when needed, offer unlimited vacation, and foster a culture that values work-life balance. Managers check in regularly with their teams to ensure workloads are manageable and provide guidance and support. Overall, at Charted we aim to create an environment where employees feel supported, can manage stress, and maintain both their professional and personal well-being.
