The Senior Manager of Digital Category will be responsible for leading the Digital Category Management team that oversees General Merchandise online (site and app). The collective team and individual is responsible for owning the digital shopping funnel and visual merchandising strategy, driving and reporting on digital business performance and sharing insights and opportunities that lead to improvements in their respective categories.
They will work cross functionally with Product & Engineering to identify site enhancements and new functionality needed to provide members with an easy, relevant site purchasing experience. They will collaborate with Club Merchandising partners to prioritize omnichannel initiatives and with the Marketing teams to drive promotional and brand messaging on the site, app and through external marketing channels.
- Define and implement Digital Category strategy and priorities for General Merchandise on site and app
- Drive Digital sales and profit
- Lead the GM Digital Category Management team of 3 by hiring key roles, developing the existing team and identifying opportunities for team growth.
- Manage the team to create digital merchandising experiences that result in the target level of exposure and conversion
- Evaluate sales performance and digital KPIs around assortment and shopping path productivity to drive decisions and action in areas such as search, recommendations, imagery, content, taxonomy, UGC, etc.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with cross functional and third-party partners to help improve online assortment and experiences Maintain strong relationships with the Club Merchandising team and provide strategic guidance on e-commerce best practices
- Leverage shopping behavior data, consumer industry trends and business insights to build digital shopping experiences and omnichannel assortment recommendations
- Lead the team to create seasonal, promotional and strategic support for categories through the creative intake process; ensure components are built and executed on time and QA of experiences are robust
- Strong relationship management skills
- Ability to learn and evaluate the competitive environment and e-commerce industry trends
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 6+ years required in e-commerce, merchandising or business strategy
This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $125,500.00.
