At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock and inspire performance for life.
WHOOP is seeking a Staff Product Manager to define and drive the product strategy for some of the most important health experiences at WHOOP, leading a group of cross-functional teams from ambitious vision through scaled member impact.
In this role, you will own the strategy and outcomes for many of WHOOP’s core physiological and coaching experiences, including Health, Detection, Behavior, and Habits. You will be responsible for helping members better understand their bodies, identify meaningful changes in their health, and turn personalized insights into actions that improve their health and performance. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver measurable improvements in member outcomes and engagement, while helping realize our broader vision of WHOOP as a premier personal health product.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a world-class team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in people's lives. You will also have the chance to shape the future of WHOOP and the industry as a whole, as we continue to innovate and pioneer new technologies and approaches to performance optimization and positive health outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define a compelling multi-year product vision and strategy for WHOOP’s health experiences, translating that vision into clear priorities, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes
Create clarity across multiple teams and functions, ensuring individual investments compound toward a coherent member experience and broader WHOOP health strategy
Lead products from 0→1 discovery through launch and scale, identifying opportunities, testing hypotheses, making difficult tradeoffs, and ensuring exceptional execution across software, algorithms, and hardware-enabled experiences
Gather customer needs and feedback through frequent research and feedback loops
Influence product strategy beyond your immediate area, raising the quality of product thinking, decision-making, and execution across the broader Product organization
Collaborate closely with multiple teams including software and hardware engineering, design, research, marketing, analytics, and performance science
Synthesize member research, data, science, design, and business context into clear product direction, enabling teams to solve problems rather than simply execute requirements
Navigate the unique product challenges of health—including scientific validity, member trust, uncertainty, personalization, and responsible communication of health information
Drive group to deliver a healthy and efficient cadence of product releases
Consistently deliver against success metrics and quantitative outcomes for the entire group
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings, and leverage the knowledge to identify opportunities and risks for the product and the business
Regularly obsess over the member experience and drive that level of obsession across your team and the org at large
QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years building and scaling digital products
Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of human physiology and the science of fitness and wellness, with a experience in applying this knowledge to product development and user engagement, strongly preferred
Track record of taking ambiguous, complex customer problems and turning them into simple, differentiated consumer experiences
Strong product sense and high customer empathy with an ability to envision opportunities that address user needs
Curious, positive attitude, and passionate about the fitness and wellness space. Past experience in the space strongly preferred
Significant experience building exceptional consumer products at scale; experience with mobile, health, wearables, or other highly personalized products strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner, and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to think creatively and take calculated risks, and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
