About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

  • Overview
The Global Private Equity & Venture Capital (PE&VC) Practice is one of Salesforce's most strategically significant go-to-market initiatives, engaging the world's leading PE firms, VC funds, and their portfolio companies. As a Solution Engineer in this practice, you will operate at the intersection of financial services expertise, enterprise technology, and executive advisory — working with some of the most sophisticated and fast-moving organizations in the market.
You will partner closely with PE/VC deal teams, portfolio operations leaders, and C-suite executives to demonstrate how Salesforce's platform drives value creation across investment lifecycles — from deal sourcing and portfolio monitoring to portfolio company transformation and exit readiness.
This is not a traditional SE role. It requires deep business acumen, the ability to engage at the board and operating partner level, and the credibility to lead complex, multi-cloud solution narratives in compressed timescales.
    What we're looking to fill
We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join the Global PE&VC Practice — a specialized, high-impact team aligned directly to the largest and most strategic PE and VC-backed accounts across the region. We hire based on demonstrated expertise and seniority; this role is suited for candidates with a strong track record in technical pre-sales.
    Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical and strategic advisor to PE/VC firms and their portfolio companies, guiding them through multi-cloud Salesforce solutions that address deal flow management, LP relations, portfolio operations, and revenue growth
  • Lead executive-level discovery and value-framing conversations with Managing Directors, Operating Partners, CFOs, and CIOs at leading PE/VC firms
  • Design and deliver compelling, highly customized demonstrations and PoCs that map Salesforce capabilities to the specific investment thesis and value creation priorities of each firm
  • Drive portfolio company transformation narratives — articulating how Salesforce accelerates EBITDA growth, operational efficiency, and exit readiness across diverse portfolio assets
  • Collaborate with the PE/VC Relationship Management team on account strategy, executive relationship mapping, and deal orchestration across complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities
  • Orchestrate cross-functional specialist resources (industry SEs, solution architects, Agentforce specialists) around the unique requirements of each PE firm or portfolio engagement
  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in Salesforce' solutions (Agentforce, Data360, Sales & Services Cloud, Revenue Cloud, etc.) and how they apply to PE/VC use cases
  • Contribute to the practice's thought leadership — co-developing point-of-view assets, demo environments, and enablement content tailored to PE&VC personas
  • Represent Salesforce at high-profile PE&VC industry events, roundtables, and executive dinners
  • Mentor and enable broader SE community on PE&VC-specific narratives, methodologies, and deal approaches
  • Maintain relevant certifications and stay current on Salesforce product innovations and financial services market trends
  • Travel as required to engage PE&VC firm headquarters and portfolio company sites across the US.
