JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a candidate for a Senior Software Engineer position to join a strong, collaborative team and apply technical skills to enable investment processes to become more effective. As a member of the Investor Modeling team, you will help build and enhance applications across the full stack - services, web, and data layer.

You will help drive the integration of AI-assisted development practices and emerging technologies into investor-facing workflows and tooling. You will tackle compelling challenges alongside exceptional technology and investment professionals, solving problems through cross-platform and data-driven work.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently pick up and deliver well-scoped stories with minimal oversight, communicate effectively, and work on a variety of assignments with stakeholders across the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support investment modeling applications across the full stack (services, web, infrastructure, back-end), prototyping new components and optimizing existing systems for performance and maintainability
• Integrate AI-driven capabilities into investment applications to improve workflows and decision-making
• Partner with business analysts, QA engineers, and investment professionals across the requirements, testing, and user acceptance lifecycle
• Manage and communicate delivery timelines, providing status updates and proactively escalating risks
• Author and maintain technical design and support documentation
• Support production systems through data quality checks, alerting, and on-call participation

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing durable and impactful software solutions
• Comfortable with SDLC tooling — issue tracking (JIRA), source control (Git), CI/CD (Jenkins / GitHub Actions), and cloud platforms (AWS); demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) in daily workflows, with hands-on GenAI development experience a strong plus
• Proficiency in modern programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript/Node.js (nice to have Java)
• Experience building and maintaining production front-end applications using React, HTML, CSS, including consuming GraphQL and/or REST APIs
• Experience writing SQL and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle); experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DocDB)
• Experience working in a DevOps environment
• Experience with Agile methodologies and modern software development and testing practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences and strong follow-through
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities, and deliver in a fast-paced, business-critical environment
• Prior experience in the financial services or asset management industry
• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
