As a Senior People & Culture Partner, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the overall organizational culture within our North America region. You will collaborate with employees and management to enhance employee engagement, develop talent, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Your expertise in human resources will contribute to the success of our organization by driving employee satisfaction, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
This is a contract role from July 14 to January 30, with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
Your Challenge
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for employees and managers regarding P&C policies, procedures, and employment-related matters. Provide guidance, support, and solutions for employee relations issues and conflict resolution
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to foster a positive work environment, increase employee engagement, and promote a culture of growth mindset, collaboration and inclusion. Coordinate and support employee programs, team-building activities, and employee surveys to gather feedback and drive improvement
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and collaborate with the Learning and Development team to design and deliver training programs for employees and managers. Support the development of career paths and succession plans to nurture talent within the organization
- Compensation and Benefits: Assist in building compensation and benefits programs, including salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and benefits enrolment. Provide guidance on compensation-related matters, including equity programs
- Compliance: Stay updated on employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance in areas such as equal employment opportunity, diversity and inclusion, and workplace safety. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks
- People Analytics: Compile and analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, generate reports, and provide insights to management. Use data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement and support decision-making processes
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, participate in the recruitment process for specific roles (senior level) and make recommendations for hiring decisions. Assist in developing onboarding plans and programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires. Support performance management processes, including performance reviews and career development discussions
Is This You?
- 7+ years of experience in human resources as a Senior HR Business Partner or HR Manager, directly supporting business units and leaders in technology software companies and demonstrating strong business acumen
- Experience in global companies and collaboration across different geographies and cultures
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proven experience in employee relations, negotiations, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement people programs and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational culture
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage HR metrics and data to drive insights and make informed decisions
- You like to live an office life, be around people and make connections. For that we need you to be in the office 2-3 days in a week
- You are ready to travel to other company locations, mainly visiting our Toronto office once a month
