Who you are
With supplier relationships and associated revenue as one of the top priorities in 2021 and going into 2022, the need to increase support for our partners and capitalize on opportunities within the wine space is crucial. A key part of that is adding a new strategic, customer focused colleague to the team in a Strategic Partnerships Senior Account Manager role.
You have 5-7 years in sales and/or account management.. If you have marketplace or bevalc experience, that is a bonus!
You seamlessly instill trust in and align with supplier partners, while keeping Drizly goals in mind at all times. You take lead in strategic planning conversations, lead business reviews and brainstorms, and drive partnerships forward. You are also a planner, an organizer, and a communicator. You are very comfortable externally-facing, but also a champion for your internal partners (Brand & Design, CRM, Product, Analytics), and for Drizly. You will build trust across teams, partners, agencies, you name it, and then do so with integrity.
What the role is
In this Sr. Account Manager role, you will be an integral part of the Strategic Partnerships team. This is a very exciting time to expand our partnerships within the wine category. This lead position will be responsible for building relationships with our wine partners (existing and prospective) to drive revenue and other value from the partnerships.
This person must be deeply thoughtful to understand the current barriers to entry, how to position the value of our offerings, and work around the varying goals of these suppliers. Demonstrating care for these partners and their goals will be vital in earning their trust, their dollars, and their partnership, which can drive Drizly’s goals forward in multiple ways (i.e., sharing data and insights, using their positions in the industry to gain Drizly access, etc). Being able to communicate effectively with the partners (to pitch, to persuade, to drive test & learn agendas) and with cross-functional partners is the only way to succeed in this position.
You’ll also be responsible for improving processes across cross-functional teams (CRM, Brand, Supplier Operations, Analytics) to exceed expectations of the partnerships and Drizly. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to streamline workflows to deliver upon programming on time, efficiently, and in a way that allows the team to spend more time thinking critically and strategically about the program as a whole, about how the tactics ladder up to the results, and leverage data to drive the next recommendation.
The person in this role will impact how we do things today, and we’ll be all the better for it. This role is supporting one of Drizly’s most strategic priorities and will have a direct impact on revenue.
In this role you will:
- Manage the day to day relationship with the biggest brands in the BevAlc industry as the senior lead while working alongside an outstanding team of Account Managers
- Lead the strategic and business relationships with the biggest wine (and beyond) brands in the BevAlc industry
- Create joint business plans with partners, with a focus on continued up-sell and innovation
- Partner with cross-functional teams to create new opportunities for partners, and to push the industry forward (via case studies, unlocking non-revenue opportunities valuable to Drizly, etc)
- Build positive relationships with supplier partners through communication (email, phone, in-person - monthly/quarterly- video) in order to drive mutual goals forward (suppliers and Drizly)
- Unlock revenue from Wine partners, which has great opportunity for growth
- Support junior members of the team in their own development and exposure
The Other Stuff
- Salary Range: $98,000-116,000. Your compensation will be based on your experience level, skills, and location within the United States.
