We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to coordinate and enable multiple teams running Kanban projects. The Project Manager will work across teams to ensure flow, remove impediments, align priorities with stakeholders, improve delivery predictability, and foster continuous improvement. This role combines servant‑leadership, analytics, and practical delivery experience to help teams deliver customer value reliably while maintaining flow and managing risks across concurrent workstreams.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate across multiple Kanban teams to ensure smooth flow of work, unblock dependencies and escalate major risks appropriately.
- Act as a servant leader and facilitator: run and improve cross‑team ceremonies (e.g., replenishment, standups, flow review, retrospectives, risk reviews), ensuring agendas are outcome‑focused and time‑boxed.
- Manage and optimize kanban systems and boards: maintain WIP limits, policies, classes of service, queues and explicit process policies across teams.
- Monitor flow metrics and delivery health: track and report on key metrics (e.g., lead time, cycle time, throughput, flow efficiency, aging work in progress, predictability) and use data to guide improvements and stakeholder communications.
- Facilitate dependency management and cross‑team planning: visualize end‑to‑end value streams, identify bottlenecks, coordinate handoffs and help sequence work to reduce wait time and rework.
- Drive continuous improvement: coach teams on flow principles, Kanban practices and problem solving (root cause analysis, experiments), sponsor improvement initiatives and measure outcomes.
- Risk and issue management: keep visible risk registers, support contingency planning and coordinate incident response for delivery blockers.
- Reporting and stakeholder engagement: prepare regular status reports, dashboards and briefings; present progress, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor team members on agile and Kanban principles to build internal capability and autonomy.
- Support tooling and automation for flow management (Kanban boards, analytics tools, CI/CD/DevOps integration) and ensure data quality.
- Contribute to portfolio-level governance, capacity planning and budgeting as required.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of project/program management experience supporting teams using Kanban.
- Demonstrable experience coordinating multiple teams concurrently.
- Strong knowledge of Kanban principles and practices (WIP limits, pull systems, replenishment, classes of service, flow metrics).
- Practical experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Miro).
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; proactive, pragmatic and outcomes‑oriented.
