About the Role

Suno is building the future of music creation, and our People team is at the heart of how we grow, support, and develop our team. We’re looking for a People Operations Manager to join us as a key individual contributor on the People team, reporting directly to the Director of People Rewards, Operations & Systems. This role is the operational backbone of our People function, owning the full employee lifecycle, managing our HRIS and people data infrastructure, and driving the systems and workflow improvements that keep Suno running smoothly at scale. If you love building clean processes, thrive on figuring out how to make things work better, and want to do it all at one of the most exciting companies in AI, this is the role for you.

Check out our Suno version of the job here!

What You’ll Do
  • Own the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding new hires to processing job changes and managing offboarding, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience at every stage. Serve as a key operational partner to Talent, IT, and Office Management.

  • Manage and evolve Suno’s HRIS, including leading or supporting system migrations, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring ongoing compliance with documentation requirements.

  • Build and maintain employee-facing information and resource pages, keeping content current and easy to navigate as the company grows.

  • Partner closely with Finance and People leadership on payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution and supporting the team’s ownership of payroll operations.

  • Support immigration processes for employees, coordinating with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth case management.

  • Identify and drive system and workflow efficiencies across People Operations by proactively finding opportunities to automate, streamline, and scale processes through AI and modern tooling.

  • Lead and contribute to People programs and cross-functional projects that improve the overall employee experience, from engagement initiatives to policy updates and beyond.

  • Provide support for talent planning and headcount management as needs evolve, partnering with leadership to maintain accurate org and workforce data.

What You’ll Need

  • 3–5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a related generalist role, ideally in a fast-growing tech company

  • Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience managing HRIS and people systems (e.g., Rippling, ADP, BambooHR, Workday, or similar), including migrations and data integrity

  • Experience leveraging AI tools and building automated workflows to improve operational efficiency on People team

  • Solid understanding of US employment compliance, including record-keeping, I-9 requirements, and state/federal regulations

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; you keep multiple balls in the air without dropping them

  • High comfort with ambiguity and troubleshooting; you can navigate shifting priorities and figure things out when there’s no playbook

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust across teams and work cross-functionally with ease

  • Experience partnering on payroll processing (not necessarily owning it); you understand how payroll works and can collaborate effectively with the team or vendor running it

  • Experience supporting immigration processes, including coordinating with external counsel, tracking case statuses, and managing documentation for visa and work authorization needs

  • Experience administering leave management programs, including medical, parental, and other statutory leaves, with working knowledge of applicable federal and state leave laws

Additional Notes:

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

  • This role is based in Cambridge, MA and requires being in office 5 days per week.
