The Lead Functional Consultant, Public Sector is a senior, customer-facing consulting leader responsible for driving the successful implementation of Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) solutions for Public Sector customers. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role leads discovery, solution design, configuration oversight, stakeholder workshops, testing, and go-live activities while ensuring scalable, product-aligned solutions that deliver business value.

This hands-on role requires ownership of end-to-end functional delivery, leadership of customer workstreams, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate combines strong consulting skills, enterprise SaaS implementation experience, and expertise in translating complex business and contracting requirements into practical solutions.

This position requires on-site presence five days per week at our new office in Reston, Virginia.

This position will support U.S. government contracts that require U.S. citizenship or U.S. Person status (Permanent Resident), depending on the project. Additionally, this role may require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary functional advisor for Public Sector and Federal customers.
  • Lead discovery sessions, requirements gathering, design workshops, and UAT preparation.
  • Translate business, compliance, and contracting requirements into scalable Icertis solutions.
  • Own functional delivery across the full implementation lifecycle, from discovery through go-live.
  • Lead design reviews and ensure solutions align with product capabilities and best practices.
  • Oversee configuration activities and validate solutions against approved requirements.
  • Drive testing, defect resolution, deployment readiness, and overall implementation quality.
  • Partner with project managers, architects, technical teams, and customer stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, manage escalations, and support mitigation planning.
  • Mentor consultants and analysts while promoting delivery excellence and reusable best practices.
Qualifications
  • Experience implementing enterprise SaaS solutions, preferably within CLM, procurement, ERP, CRM, legal operations, or workflow platforms.
  • Participation in at least three full-lifecycle implementations in a functional consulting, business analysis, or solution consulting role.
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, solution design, process mapping, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Proven ability to lead workstreams and independently manage deliverables.
  • Experience facilitating design reviews and driving scalable, product-aligned decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across project, product, engineering, architecture, QA, and customer teams.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: Min $100,000 - $150,000 USD per year

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities. In addition to base salary and an annual target incentive bonus, an equity component is included.
