Brown & Brown is seeking an Insurance Assistant to join our growing team in Quincy, MA! 

 

The Insurance Assistants responsibility includes customer service duties for customer accounts and transactions, in support of the production of the business. 

 

How You Will Contribute: 

 

  • Manage and retain existing book of bond and committee business. 

  • Continuously achieve all audit and performance standards as outlined by leadership. 

  • Follow-up to address customer needs and resolve any problems or issues. 

  • Manage and maintain agency management system with current required information and documents on an ongoing basis, including all IO requirements.  

  • Process daily mail, including faxes and e-mail, for assigned accounts. 

  • Address billing inquiries received via telephone for assigned accounts. 

  • Prepare billings and/or invoices on a timely basis. 

  • Responsible for the end-to-end transaction processing including updating the agency management system with final required documents. 

  • Review Backwards Expiration Report and expiration reports. 

  • Keep current with email & tasks. 

 

Licenses and Certifications:  

 

  • Insurance Producer license in good standing (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business) is preferred.  

 

Skills & Experience to Be Successful: 
 

  • High School diploma 

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or extensive insurance experience (preferred) 

  • 2+ years functioning in Commercial Lines department at an agency or company level (preferred)  

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite 

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor 

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
