We are looking for a creative, growth minded, collaborative, and people focused individual to join our People Strategy team. You will help us implement and improve people programs with a shared goal of creating incredible experiences for our people, while supporting our growth and the achievement of Rapid7's business goals.
The People Strategist reports to the Senior Director, People Strategy (North America). They will partner with managers and teams to tackle day to day people issues, performance management and talent development programs. It's not just what you are contributing that's important to our people - it's HOW you do it.
The ideal candidate will be laser focused on understanding the business priorities, our culture and our people challenges as we scale. They will work to build solutions that will enable our employees to have the most productive and satisfying work experiences of their careers. You will be the people expert, working closely with leaders as they work on growing and developing their teams.
Job RequirementsWhat The Role Will Look And Feel Like:
You will be the primary people strategy point of contact to the teams you support.
You are passionate about understanding and optimizing the day to day experience of our people, and are their to help guide our employees through their journey
You will partner with managers to proactively diagnose and communicate trends around people and team issues (ie engagement, retention, collaboration) and support the development of solutions to address them
Through our Manager Effectiveness Index (MEI), you will act as a coach and partner to managers to strengthen and support their skills in performance coaching, handling difficult conversations, get well plans and other employee focused challenges (in compliance with local laws).
You'll partner with the People Strategy leadership team to drive the execution of the employee lifecycle - including performance management, merit and bonus planning, promotions, internal transfers as well as conduct exit interviews and terminations.
You'll deliver with a consistent focus on building a high-performing culture of growth and development through effective leadership, communication and feedback.
Working with the with People Strategy team and business leaders, you'll ensure that employee initiatives are in line with and reinforce our company's culture and core values
Personal Characteristics:
3+ years of professional work experience in HR, Organizational Development, Talent Consulting or a related field
Bachelors of Arts or Science required
A delicate balance of business acumen, empathy, relationship building, and courageous dialogue with unquestionable integrity
Approaches challenges with a learning mindset - you are not afraid to try something different and learn from your mistakes
Has an amazing attitude – personable, approachable, and always eager to help
You are an amazing communicator, able to effectively work with discretion and sensitivity across all levels of the business
