Job Description:

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Identifies and develops short- and long-term strategies and provides recommendations for profit and productivity improvements within Store Operations. Provides ongoing financial and operational analysis to identify and focus Senior Management on profit challenges and opportunities. Supports the planning, management, and optimization of the Store Operations payroll budget, ensuring alignment between financial objectives and operational execution. Develops and fosters cross-functional partnerships with Store Operations, Zone teams, and other business partners to support initiatives that drive profit, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Provides research, analysis, and coordination of projects related to store tests, new initiatives, and underperforming store/market initiatives. This role analyzes performance, identifies areas of opportunity, works with various business partners, and makes fact-based recommendations.
  • Researches and identifies potential profit and productivity improvement initiatives through both financial and operational analysis, focusing on maximizing the effectiveness of the payroll investment, improving units per hour, and optimizing non-payroll expenses.
  • Supports the planning, forecasting, analysis, and management of the $3.5B Store Operations payroll budget, including evaluation of labor investments, workforce productivity, staffing requirements, and payroll trends to ensure alignment with financial and operational objectives.
  • Partners closely with Zone leadership teams to develop, evaluate, and execute labor and productivity strategies, providing financial insights and recommendations that balance customer experience, operational needs, and payroll efficiency.
  • Provides ad hoc analytical capability and support to Store Operations Senior Management, Regional Management, Zone leadership, and others as required.
  • Provides analytic support to assess & influence the annual financial plans and execute in partnership with the field organization
  • Develops reporting, analyses, and performance metrics to monitor payroll spending, labor productivity, and execution against financial plans, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending corrective actions where needed.

What we are Looking for

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience
  • Prior experience leading a team
  • Understanding of budget and financial analysis techniques, accounting principles and familiarity with systems development.
  • Knowledge of interfacing and managing within a large decentralized field organization and store operation practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, presentation, and managerial skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of multi-dimensional cube technology is preferred (COGNOS, BPC, Hyperion).

This position has a starting salary range of $95,800.00 to $122,100.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
