Simple Title Closing & Escrow, a growing, multi-state professional services organization focused on operational excellence, strong culture, and sustainable growth, is seeking an experienced generalist to join the team as the Director of Human Resources based in the Danvers, MA office.
The Director of HR will serve as a key strategic partner to ownership and senior leadership in strengthening a people centric infrastructure to support expansion, leadership development, and long-term retention across multiple states.
In this professional, hands-on role, you will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of the HR functions and will lead in the next phase of growth driving HR programs and best practices including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations and engagement, benefits management, performance management, compliance, policy development, workforce planning and leadership development and training.
This role requires travel to our other office locations to build relationships, support managers, reinforce culture, and ensure alignment across teams.

Requirements for the Director of Human Resources:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred
- 7-10 years of progressive HR experience with strategic hands-on approach
- Expertise and proven experience leading HR systems integration and implementation (ADP preferred)
- Experience with payroll, benefits administration, retirement and compensation.
- Demonstrated experience scaling businesses and building HR infrastructure
- Thorough knowledge of multi-state employment related laws, compliance and regulations.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Direct experience with talent management, recruiting, employee relations, compensation, and benefits plan design
- Strong leadership presence, interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence culture
- Process driven and data informed to build sustainable systems that reduce turnover and foster accountability.
- Willingness to travel to other office locations
Responsibilities of the Director of Human Resources:
- Act as a strategic HR partner with ownership and executive leadership
- Administer and manage benefits plan design including 401k retirement plans.
- Lead full cycle recruitment, hiring, workforce planning and onboarding processes.
- Payroll processing and HRIS administration (ADP experience preferred)
- Determine compensation strategy and assess ongoing competitiveness of compensation/ commission structures and employment agreements.
- Develop and implement employee development programs and initiatives.
- Provide leadership coaching and guidance with performance management
- Identify professional development opportunities, assess roles and responsibilities and create training programs to enhance skills and continued growth
- Lead employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Responsible for employee relations and resolving employee situations from origin to conclusion while utilizing sound judgement and discretion.
- Lead implementation of companywide rollout of HRIS including process and workflow design, training and change management and long-term optimization.
- Ensure that all HR policies and procedures and benefits are compliant with laws and regulations for multiple states.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management for multiple states.
