The opportunity:

The Director, Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for defining and executing human capital strategies for HBP, partnering closely with executives, managers, and employees to drive organizational performance, culture, and talent outcomes. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Serve as strategic HR advisor to senior leaders; translate business strategy into people plans. 

  • Advise leadership on organization design, workforce planning, and succession planning to improve team performance and build pipelines for key functions/roles. 

  • Partner with HR COEs (TA, L&D, HR Ops) to lead talent management, leadership development, performance management, and compensation processes with leaders and their groups/departments. 

  • Provide executive oversight for complex employee relations matters and HR risk management. 

  • Lead major change initiatives and culture efforts in partnership with COEs and business leaders. 

  • Mentor and coach senior business leaders on team effectiveness, conflict management, and their own career development.  

  • Use people analytics to assess organizational health and drive data-informed decisions. 

  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of HRBP’s 

  • Collaborate with HR COEs to design and deliver integrated HR solutions. 

  • Oversee complex employee relations escalations, ensuring fair outcomes and compliance with employment laws.  

 

What you’ll bring 

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HRBP or equivalent role. 

  • Proven experience advising and influencing executives and leaders on complex people and organizational issues. 

  • Demonstrated success leading HR strategy and large-scale change or transformation initiatives. 

  • Strong business and financial acumen; able to link HR strategies to business results. 

  • Experience leading and developing HR teams. 

  • Deep knowledge of employment law, employee relations, talent management, and change management. 

  • Exceptional communication, consulting, negotiation, and conflict management skills. Ability to utilize data-driven insights to tell stories and influence decision-making. 

 

You’ll stand out if you have 

  • Experience establishing an HRBP model within an organization. 

  • Experience working in the technology, data, media, publishing, or learning sectors.

$150,000 - $170,000

Above is the annualized pay range for this position. In addition, this position includes the opportunity to earn our annual Performance Based Variable Pay Program. Actual salary will be set based upon a range of factors, including external benchmark market data, individual knowledge, skills, experience, location and internal equity.
