Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated analyst to drive insights and action within our Detection & Response business practice. This role will be accountable for providing high-impact data and analysis across the practice to drive and continuously improve our business model. Working in tandem with our business intelligence, operations and practice teams, this analyst will provide necessary analytics and reporting support to help enhance business decision making and increase operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive learner with a passion for data and analytics who can effectively collaborate with stakeholders across functional areas. Learning existing analytics tools, data and infrastructure and collaborating with other Business Analysts to respond to business needs will be core functional aspects of the role. This role requires a mixture of business acumen and technical expertise, along with an ability to build reporting and analysis and answer business questions on the fly. Success in the role will require a self-starter with a passion for collaborating with others to solve problems.
Essential Responsibilities
Develops in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses of data to provide clear data visualizations, reporting and analysis
Front line analytics support for the D&R Practice team, providing training to colleagues to promote self-service analytics and working with D&R Exec Leadership to drive scale, growth & increased customer value attainment
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to drive insights into optimization and innovation of product capabilities
Provide analytical support, data and recommendations to the D&R practice stakeholders, identifying and collaborating with the BI Center Of Excellence to standardize key performance indicators
Assists with ongoing systems and process improvement initiatives to assure efficient data capture and reporting capabilities
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide continual improvement in analysis, business process and data quality
Ad-hoc analysis as required to aid management decision making and business planning
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, or related discipline
1-3 years experience in business analytics, operations or related discipline at a high tech, software, or mgmt. consulting company preferred
Strong proficiency with SQL
Experience creating reporting and analytics within BI Tools such as Tableau, Domo, Qlik, MSFT Power BI, a plus
Strong communication and storytelling skills, utilizing data to tell a story
Working knowledge of Netsuite, Salesforce.com, or similar CRM/ERP system
High attention to detail with a passion for data, data quality & business analytics
Fast learner with an appetite for continued improvement
Team spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, and a customer service orientation
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
