The Compensation Analyst is a key member of the Total Rewards function at Creation Technologies. This is an individual contributor role that is responsible for providing strategic direction and implementing key initiatives with regards to the overall compensation strategy for the organization. This position will be the subject matter expert for the company with regards to pay grades, salary structures, and bonus structures to ensure a robust compensation offering that will ensure we are competitive in the marketplace. The incumbent will play a key role in policy development, regulatory compliance, and communication of compensation-related information.
Market Analysis and Benchmarking:
  • Conducts market research and analysis to determine competitive salary ranges for various roles
  • Participates in compensation surveys and analyzes data from various sources
  • Develops and maintains salary structures and pay grades
  • Participates in career ladder development and ongoing maintenance

Program Development and Administration:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of compensation programs, including base pay, bonuses, and incentive plans
  • Evaluates job positions and determines appropriate classifications and salary levels
  • Administers compensation programs and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage compensation cycles (merit, annual and quarterly bonuses) and coordinate activities with the Workday team

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyzes compensation data and trends to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepares reports and presentations for management on compensation-related matters
  • Utilizes Workday and other analytical tools to manage compensation data

Communication and Consultation:

  • Provides guidance and support to HR business partners and managers on compensation-related matters
  • Communicates compensation information to employees in a clear and transparent manner

Supports Total Rewards initiatives and other HR projects.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in compensation analysis, including experience with base pay, bonuses, and incentive plans
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, equivalent professional experience will be considered
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including experience with HRIS systems and other analytical tools.  Workday advanced compensation module experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other analytical functions
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations, including FLSA, pay equity, and other relevant laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex information to various audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies and market pricing
  • Understanding of the broader HR function
