Chewy is seeking a Category Management Specialist to join our team in Boston, MA. This role requires business-level fluency in Mandarin, as the Specialist will regularly communicate with Mandarin-speaking vendors and partners.
In this role, you will support specific product categories by managing vendor ticket resolution, setting up promotions, onboarding new vendors and SKUs, and supporting assortment expansion. As a key point of contact for vendors, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, thoughtful service that strengthens vendor relationships and enhances the overall customer experience-ultimately contributing to the Chewy brand.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to execute priorities in alignment with service level agreements (SLAs). You should be comfortable handling routine operational tasks while supporting broader category strategies and navigating complex vendor interactions. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a customer-first mindset.

The hourly range for this role is $27.40 - $41.10.

What You'll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors, communicating regularly in both English and Mandarin
- Manage and resolve vendor tickets in accordance with SLAs
- Execute promotional setups based on Category Manager direction
- Support onboarding of new vendors and SKUs; troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Private Label, Finance, Catalog, and Promotions teams
What You'll Need
- Business-level fluency in Mandarin (required)
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA)
- 1+ years of experience in eCommerce, buying, account management, product management, category management, operations, analytics, finance, or marketing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Excel required; SQL is a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Self-starter with a bias for action and a solution-oriented, customer-first mindset
