About This Role

You will join the North American Business Insights & Operations team as a social media channel expert to Biogen’s US marketing team. You will be accountable for bringing strategic thought leadership for social media engagement tactics across Biogen’s portfolio of products.

You will act as a thought leader with the US marketing team & agency of record in developing and optimizing the social media campaigns and tactics to deliver against the brands’ strategic imperatives.  We are looking for someone who brings core marketing skills and depth of experience across social media platforms. You will also collaborate with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful design and execution of the broader customer engagement plan for connectivity with social media.

This role is considered a Hybrid role with expectations of being in the Cambridge office Tues - Thurs each week with some flexibility as needed.  

What You’ll Do

  • Develop HCP and patient social media strategy in partnership with marketing, insights and creative/media agency teams.
  • Proactively Identify new Social Media Excellence best practices and capabilities and connect opportunities with relevant brands Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional partners and all agencies to build a collaborative working relationship to jointly develop strategy and execute as one team.
  • Expertise with working with creative agency to pull through platform best practices. performance data, and cultural moments to develop authentic creative ads
  • Lead the development social media measurement plans partnering with analytics and insights teams
  • Lead coordination of enterprise level social listening initiatives
  • Leverage learnings from the insights & analytics team to identify opportunities for improvement across campaigns and tactics
  • Serve as the Social Media Excellence cross-functional business partner during annual planning
  • Develop playbooks for marketing and cross-functional teams for social media best practices
  • Work with content approval team to optimize creative review process to accelerate social media creative asset availability

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 7 years of Pharma / Biotech digital marketing campaign planning and execution experience
  • At least 3 years of social media experience and must have social platform experience in Meta, Pinterest, Reddit, and Tik Tok
  • Creative/marketing agency experience a plus
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to influence in a complex stakeholder environment (i.e., Alliances)
  • Proven track record developing and executing social media marketing campaigns to achieve superior results, demonstrating data-driven strategic thinking, experimentation, customer orientation, and operational excellence
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to assess business results of marketing tactics, define appropriate metrics / KPIs, and maximize value of marketing investment

Education

  • BA/BS required
  • MBA preferred

Additional information

The base salary range for this position is $161,000 - $222,000. Base salary offered is determined though an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.  Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
