Penn Foster Education Group hires a new executive. Stephen Laster is a longtime executive from McGraw-Hill Education and started as chief digital and learning officer on Sept. 30. He’s leading around 150 people based in Boston, Pennsylvania and Atlanta. [Boston Business Journal]

Guardsquare hires a chief revenue officer and VP of marketing. Guardsquare’s software secures mobile applications against reverse engineering and hacking. The software company’s mission is to facilitate a better and more equitable childcare system by empowering people to operate licensed in-home daycares while helping parents identify trusted providers.
