VP Solutions Architects / Systems Engineering

Vice President, Solutions Architecture - Systems Engineering - Pre-Sales Engineering 

Location: United States (Remote) or Boston (Hybrid) 
Reports to: President and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

About the Role

Nasuni, the leading provider of hybrid cloud data infrastructure and global file services, is seeking a VP Solutions Architecture /  VP Systems Engineering to lead our global Pre-Sales Solutions Architecture organization across the United States and EMEA. This critical leadership role will oversee 6 Direct reports and a team of  30+ Solutions Architects and Technical Consultants.

This VP will serve as a global business and technical leader for Nasuni's pre-sales technical strategy. You will drive technical excellence, partner closely with Sales, Field CTO, and Customer Support teams to accelerate New ACV and Expansion opportunities, and represent Nasuni’s hybrid cloud data platform alongside our hyperscaler alliance partners — AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform — and strategic channel partners like Presidio, CDW, SHI, WWT, and others.

Nasuni is a disruptive technology that replaces legacy on-premises file infrastructure (NetApp, Dell EMC, Windows File Servers) with a modern, cloud-native platform. Therefore, this leader must demonstrate deep expertise in both traditional file systems and cloud-native architectures, along with a passion for motivating technical teams and scaling best-in-class Solutions Architecture across regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and scale Nasuni’s global Solutions Architecture team across North America and EMEA.
• Manage and develop a leadership team of Directors, Senior Managers, and senior-level Solutions Architects.
• Set technical sales strategy to drive New Logo acquisition and Expansion ACV in partnership with the CRO, President, RVPs, and VP of Sales.
• Ensure Solutions Architects are trusted advisors for our customers, alliance partners, and channel partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Field CTOs, Engineering, Customer Support, and Professional Services to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and influence the product roadmap.
• Act as an executive-level evangelist and spokesperson for Nasuni at key customer meetings, industry events, and strategic partner engagements.
• Build technical enablement programs to continually elevate the team’s skills in cloud-native solutions, hybrid architecture, and customer success methodologies.
• Drive operational excellence through consistent tools, processes, and metrics across the Solutions Architecture team.
• Lead the ongoing development of Nasuni's engagement models with channel partners (Presidio, CDW, SHI, WWT, etc.) and hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Maintain active relationships with senior sales and technical leaders at our strategic alliances and VARs.
• Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, teamwork, and accountability across the Solutions Architecture organization.

Required Skills and Experience

• 15+ years of progressive experience in technical sales leadership, pre-sales, or solution architecture roles, including deep experience in enterprise file storage and/or cloud-native data services.
• 7+ years of senior leadership experience managing multi-level, geographically dispersed technical teams.
• Proven success scaling pre-sales technical teams to support global sales expansion.
• Deep technical expertise in both legacy file systems (NetApp, Dell EMC, Windows File Servers) and modern cloud-native architectures (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, GCP Object Storage).
• Expertise leading technical sales teams in cloud services, hybrid cloud, and SaaS environments.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to build trust with C-level executives, strategic partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience building technical sales and channel enablement programs.
• Outstanding public speaking, communication, and presentation skills; proven success as a technical evangelist.
• Deep understanding of the enterprise IT channel ecosystem, particularly strategic VARs and Global Systems Integrators.
• Ability to travel up to 50% as needed across North America and EMEA.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degrees or certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
