VP of Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic vision and technical leadership to the engineering team, aligning technology initiatives with the company's goals and objectives.  

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.  

• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of high-quality software products. Champion the adoption of AI-powered tools and automation across the SDLC—including AI-assisted code generation, automated code review, intelligent testing and QA, and CI/CD pipeline automation—to accelerate delivery velocity, improve code quality, and reduce manual overhead.  

• Develop and execute a technology roadmap that aligns with the company's long-term vision, leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.  

• Collaborate closely with product management, design, and operations teams to ensure effective coordination, communication, and alignment of engineering efforts.  

• Promote and implement agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to enhance development efficiency and responsiveness to changing market needs.  

• Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, infrastructure, and budget, to support project priorities and business objectives.  

• Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent, fostering a diverse and inclusive team. Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities to nurture individual growth and career advancement.  

• Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and quality control processes to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software solutions.  

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, including technical, operational, and security risks.  

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clients, and partners, to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure alignment with business objectives.  

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in real estate technology, applying relevant insights to drive innovation and competitive advantage.  

Requirments:

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products on time and within budget.  

• Strong technical background, with expertise in software development methodologies, modern architectures, and cloud technologies.  

• Experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a customer-centric mindset.  

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable technology strategies.  

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders.  

• Solid understanding of agile development methodologies and experience implementing agile practices in an engineering organization.  

• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and automation to streamline the software development lifecycle, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline automation.  

• Familiarity with real estate industry concepts, processes, and technologies is a plus.  

• Strong business acumen and the ability to balance technical considerations with business priorities.  

• Demonstrated ability to navigate through ambiguity, make sound decisions, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.  

Qualifications:

• EDUCATION:  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• EXPERIENCE:   10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in engineering leadership roles leading software teams, preferably within the real estate or technology industry.
