OVERVIEW
Level99 is looking for a creative, highly hands-on Video Producer & Editor to help bring the Level99 brand to life through video. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this person will produce content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, paid advertising, venue launches, brand campaigns, PR, recruiting, and internal communications.

This role is for someone who likes owning the entire process. You can take a loose idea, make it interesting, plan the shoot, pick up a camera, direct talent, edit the footage, and deliver a polished final piece. Approximately 80% of our video content should be produced in-house by this role, while larger productions may involve outside creative partners.

Level99 is growing quickly, so speed and versatility matter. You should be equally comfortable creating highly produced brand work and fast, platform-native content, and excited to help shape the video voice of a rapidly growing entertainment brand from the ground up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Create Video Content End-to-End
  • Develop concepts for video across YouTube, social media, paid advertising, brand marketing, PR, recruiting, internal communications, venue openings, and other channels.
  • Turn briefs and rough ideas into scripts, storyboards, shot lists, production plans, and finished videos.
  • Shoot high-quality video at Level99 venues, events, offices, interviews, and other locations, and find the story within a project rather than simply documenting it.
  • Produce Long- and Short-Form Content
  • Create and edit YouTube videos and recurring series, TikToks, Reels, Shorts, paid ads, brand and campaign videos, venue-opening content, interviews, PR, recruiting, and internal communications.
  • Adapt core footage into multiple formats, lengths, hooks, cutdowns, and platform-specific edits to maximize every shoot.
  • Shoot & Edit
  • Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment independently and direct employees, guests, creators, executives, and other on-camera talent.
  • Edit with a strong sense of pacing, storytelling, music, sound, and visual style, including basic color correction, audio cleanup, graphics, captions, and finishing.
  • Maintain organized footage, project files, and asset libraries, and create repeatable templates and workflows that make production faster.
  • Build the Level99 Video Brand
  • Bring forward proactive ideas for new video concepts and recurring series and help evolve Level99's visual and storytelling style.
  • Stay current on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, advertising creative, entertainment content, and emerging formats, and know when polished versus platform-native creative is the right approach.
  • Support Paid Marketing
  • Partner with Marketing teammates to develop paid creative, multiple hooks, edits, cutdowns, and testing variations.
  • Learn from creative performance data and quickly apply those insights to future videos and new concepts.
  • Coordinate Larger Productions
  • For approximately 1-2 larger brand campaigns per year, help develop concepts and production plans and coordinate production companies, freelancers, photographers, animators, and other partners from pre-production through final delivery. Work as well with external partners for filming new venues.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

  • Approximately 3-5 years of professional video production and editing experience.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating both shooting and editing capabilities.
  • Experience producing content for brands, agencies, media companies, entertainment businesses, or digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling and experience with both short-form social content and longer-form video.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable editing software.
  • Working knowledge of cameras, lighting, audio, and basic production equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work quickly and independently without sacrificing quality, with strong creative instincts and attention to detail.
  • Comfort receiving feedback, rapidly iterating, and collaborating closely with a fast-moving marketing team.

OTHER DESIRABLE (BUT NOT NECESSARY) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE INCLUDE

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects, 2D motion graphics, or animation.
  • Graphic design skills and/or photography capabilities.
  • Experience producing YouTube content or recurring video series.
  • Experience creating paid social advertising and iterating creative based on performance.
  • Experience working with outside production companies or freelancers.
  • Interest in entertainment, gaming, hospitality, sports, or experiential brands.

While we don’t expect a candidate to have deep experience in all of the above, we’re looking for someone with the passion and capability to learn quickly in the areas that are new!

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT ON THE LEVEL99 TEAM IF YOU…
  • Like to laugh, would be described as a "low maintenance, low drama" person, have a tendency to have a bit of fun while you work
  • Have a high tolerance for ambiguity, like to go fast, and are excited to learn on the job
  • Are just a little bit obsessive about getting the details right the first time
  • Have a high energy personality, the kind of person who is typically smiling, and likes to "get it done now"
