This is a fully remote, senior, quota-carrying role responsible for originating new business and positioning Magna's full portfolio of litigation support services with law firms, corporate legal departments, insurance carriers, and other legal-industry clients.

The Vice President will serve as a senior commercial leader in the market and manage complex opportunities from initial outreach through negotiation and close. This role works closely with sales leadership, practice leaders, subject matter experts, and operations teams to develop solutions that address each client's litigation needs.

The role represents Magna's full suite of services, including court reporting, record retrieval, jury research and consulting, litigation graphics, trial presentation, language services, investigations, and service of process.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own and execute a business development strategy aligned with company revenue goals and priority client segments.
  • Generate net-new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and converting high-value opportunities with law firms, corporate legal departments, insurance carriers, and other legal-industry clients.
  • Build and expand a portfolio of strategic client relationships with senior attorneys, legal executives, litigation leaders, procurement partners, and other key decision makers.
  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through solution design, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and close.
  • Develop strategic account plans that identify client needs, competitive dynamics, relationship gaps, and opportunities to introduce additional Magna services.
  • Partner with Magna's subject matter experts and service leaders to deliver executive-level presentations, client education, and tailored solutions across multiple service lines.
  • Represent Magna as a senior market leader at industry conferences, bar association events, client programs, networking functions, and other business development forums.
  • Build referral relationships and centers of influence that strengthen Magna's visibility and generate qualified business opportunities.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management, opportunity documentation, sales activity, and forecasting within the CRM, with clear visibility into risks and next steps.
  • Provide market intelligence on client needs, litigation trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform commercial strategy and service development.
  • Collaborate with operations and service delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to execution and a consistently strong client experience.
  • Share effective practices and provide informal coaching to business development colleagues while contributing to broader sales initiatives.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and internal collaboration.

Desired Background

    Required

  • At least 10 years of progressive business development, enterprise sales, or strategic account growth experience, including responsibility for significant revenue goals.
  • Significant experience selling legal services, litigation support, eDiscovery, or related solutions to law firms and corporate legal departments.
  • A sustained record of originating new business, expanding strategic accounts, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • An established network of relationships with senior attorneys, law firm leaders, corporate legal departments, litigation teams, procurement professionals, and other buyers of legal support services.
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple decisionmakers, tailored solutions, commercial negotiation, and executive-level presentations.
  • Strong knowledge of the legal services market and how law firms and corporate legal departments evaluate and purchase litigation support solutions.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to establish credibility with senior clients, prospects, and internal partners.
  • Advanced prospecting, relationship management, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Strong commercial judgment, including the ability to prioritize opportunities, assess deal quality, and balance revenue growth with client and operational needs.
  • Experience developing account strategies, maintaining a high-quality pipeline, and producing accurate sales forecasts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex services into clear client value.
  • High standards of integrity, accountability, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferred

  • Direct experience selling court reporting, depositions, record retrieval, eDiscovery, trial technology, jury consulting, investigations, language services, service of process, or other litigation support services.
  • Demonstrated success converting existing industry relationships into new business and expanding clients across multiple service lines.
  • Experience selling both individual engagements and broader enterprise or preferred-provider relationships.
  • Familiarity with the litigation lifecycle and the needs of plaintiff firms, defense firms, corporate legal departments, and insurance carriers.
  • Experience partnering with subject matter experts and operations leaders on complex client pursuits.
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
