About the Role

We're looking for a mid-level UX Designer to help shape and optimize our marketing website. In this role, you'll take creative briefs, develop a strong point of view on design direction, and validate your decisions with data. You'll design experiences and run experiments to understand what drives results for visitors and the business - while also helping bring AI-informed strategies into our design systems work, from component consistency to documentation to scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize intuitive, visually compelling, conversion-focused experiences for the marketing website and other digital touchpoints
  • Design, launch, and analyze A/B tests and experiments to validate design hypotheses, translating results into clear recommendations and documentation for stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, and engineering teams to align designs with business goals and ensure smooth implementation
  • Ensure all marketing assets adhere to brand guidelines and deliver a cohesive user experience
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively
  • Design with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) in mind to ensure inclusive experiences
  • Use user research, analytics, heatmaps, and session replay data to identify opportunities and refine UX/UI over time
  • Apply AI-assisted tools and strategies to help build, document, and maintain the design system, improving consistency, speed, and scalability

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4–6 years of experience in UX/UI design, ideally in a B2B, SaaS, or marketing context
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual and UI design, with examples of decisions shaped by data or testing
  • Figma proficiency as a daily working tool
  • Hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B tests or experiments, with comfort interpreting statistical significance
  • Experience with heatmapping and session replay tools (e.g., ContentSquare, Hotjar)
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization fundamentals and how to apply analytics to design decisions
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to feedback
  • Comfortable working quickly while delivering quality on time

Preferred:

  • Experience designing on a marketing or growth team
  • Experience with AI-assisted design tools
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems

Key Details

  • Start date: Flexible
  • Duration: 6 months, with strong potential for extension based on performance
  • Location: Remote (U.S.)
  • Work schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • Pay rate range: $65-$74/hr + benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k)
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Engagement: Contract role through Maleda Tech.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
