As a member of the corporate Digital Finance team, this position is responsible for the system administration of our new SaaS enterprise ESG and sustainability platform. This system is used to manage and maintain the software system used to track, analyze, and report on the organization's sustainability initiatives.
This system administrator role will perform and support processes and activities that ensure accurate data collection, smooth system operation, and accessibility for stakeholders across the enterprise, often requiring a blend of technical expertise in system administration and understanding of sustainability principles and metrics, especially evolving sustainability regulations. Such processes and activities will involve troubleshooting of unexpected system or data outcomes, managing onboarding and user access, preparing procedural manuals and documentation to meet financial and systems controls audits.
This role will interact with global users responsible for sustainability reporting, ESG Controllership team, and Chief Sustainability Officer, implementing and maintaining governance, compliance and communication practices instilled by the Digital Finance team.
Additionally, this role will serve as system administrator, as either primary or secondary, for other of our digital tools administered within the Digital Finance team, creating redundancy of administrator knowledge across our digital tools to mitigate risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and maintain the SaaS enterprise sustainability platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Support the integration of sustainability metrics into financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks like CSRD to meet EU regulations
- Collaborate with Sustainability office leadership and software OEM teams to create new reports and functionality, as needed
- Stay informed about updates, best practices, and new features related to the SaaS sustainability platform, including its role in regulatory compliance and financial disclosures
- Serve as system administrator, either primary or secondary, for other of our digital tools administered within the Digital Finance team
- Monitor system operations to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security, especially auditability of the data with limited assurance providers
- Manage user accounts and access permissions in alignment with organizational policies, providing utilization metrics where applicable
- Monitor and report license utilization to stay compliant with licensure contracts and highlight any potential need for license modifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner
- Provide technical support and training to users to maximize system adoption and efficiency
- Perform and document necessary controls activities and documentation
- Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines, maintaining consistent governance and compliance practices
- Understand system backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Manage a routine cadence of communication with the user community, where applicable
- Participate as a key member of the broader Digital Finance team in alignment with department operating procedures
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Proven experience as a system administrator, preferably with enterprise-wide platforms
- Familiarity with the SaaS sustainability platform (e.g. Watershed) or comparable tool
- Strong understanding of user access protocols, data integrity, and troubleshooting practices
- Understanding of ESG related data formats and standards
- Strong focus on internal and external customer service
- Strong listening skills to interpret business intentions, challenges, and opportunities
- Ability to articulate digital technology interactions and anticipated outcomes, and risks, to stakeholders

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 8 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred. May hold two or more industry certifications.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
Applicants for this role must be in Eastern or Central Time Zones.
The posted range for this position is $125,107-$172,022 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
