The Role

The Technology Product Strategist is an experienced management consultant at the intersection of product thinking and organizational transformation. This role joins Presidio's Digital Strategy team, a high-performing group of management consultants driving modern technology transformations for clients across Product, AppDev, IT, Customer Service, and more. This individual brings deep expertise in product operating models, outcome-driven delivery, and the organizational conditions required to help clients continuously deliver real business and user value.

Our ideal candidate wants to help clients thrive in environments defined by volatility, uncertainty, and ambiguity. They bring deep consulting expertise paired with fluency in product operating models, modern delivery practices, and the emerging AI landscape. They're a product thinker by nature and an organizational strategist by experience: equally comfortable coaching a product team on outcome-driven delivery, facilitating a leadership workshop on product mindset, or shaping a compelling point of view on how to continuously drive real business value.

Up to 10% travel expected. Candidates are empowered to leverage virtual engagement — workshops, WebEx, remote delivery — while prioritizing in-person relationship building with Account Managers, DSAEs, and client stakeholders. The discipline's success depends on the strength of these relationships.

Responsibilities Include:

• Product Strategy and Operating Model Consulting: Lead the development of Presidio Digital's product management consulting capability, including thought leadership, points of view, delivery methodology, and go-to-market motion. Partner with the Digital practice lead, Digital Strategy discipline lead, and other internal stakeholders to build a product management consulting book of business. Identify strategic accounts where Presidio has a significant delivery presence and introduce product operating model consulting to expand client value and deepen account relationships. 
• Consulting Delivery: Lead and support workstreams across multi-phase client engagements, including product operating model design, outcome-driven capability assessments, organizational readiness evaluations, and governance frameworks that connect strategy to execution. 
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, from product teams and delivery leads to director and VP-level leaders. Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and executive briefings that shift organizational thinking from output-driven to outcome-driven. 
• AI Strategy Fluency: Contribute meaningfully to AI strategy conversations, helping clients assess AI readiness, identify use cases, and develop pragmatic adoption roadmaps. Deep AI expertise is not required; intellectual curiosity and a structured approach to emerging technology are. 
• Metrics and Outcomes: Help clients define and monitor success criteria grounded in business and user outcomes, including leading indicators that track movement toward outcomes and lagging indicators that confirm whether real value has been enabled. Shift client measurement practices from output volume to outcome realization. 
• Structured Problem Solving: Apply rigorous, hypothesis-driven analytical frameworks to diagnose complex organizational and delivery challenges and develop clear, defensible recommendations. 
• Delivery Governance: Track progress against milestones, identify risks, and escalate issues proactively — maintaining delivery discipline across active engagements.
• Internal Contribution: Contribute to team knowledge assets, proposals, and thought leadership. Collaborate with Account Managers and DSAEs to support pipeline development. Help educate the broader sales community on the value and positioning of product management consulting services.

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

• Management consulting excellence, including structured thinking, client presence, communication, and delivery discipline, with 12+ years of experience in consulting, product strategy, or organizational transformation. 
• Product operating model design, outcome-driven transformation leadership, and product management consulting strategy at the organizational level, not just the team level. 
• Deep expertise in coaching product teams and leadership on outcome-driven delivery, assumption validation, and continuous discovery practices.
• Executive stakeholder engagement, facilitation, coaching, and governance.
• Outcome-based measurement design, including the ability to define and distinguish leading indicators, lagging indicators, and the relationship between the two. 
• Demonstrated ability to shift organizational mindset from output-driven to outcome-driven, with experience coaching across product teams, engineering leadership, and executive stakeholders simultaneously. 
• Risk identification and proactive escalation in complex, multi-workstream engagements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other regulated environments where product delivery must navigate compliance and organizational complexity.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modernization strategies, with the ability to position product operating model consulting alongside cloud engineering and infrastructure engagements. 
• Familiarity with agile at scale frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, or equivalent) and the ability to critically evaluate their strengths and limitations in an outcome-driven context.
• Experience designing or implementing product governance models that connect annual strategic planning to quarterly outcome validation to sprint-level execution. 
• Track record of building a consulting practice or capability within a larger organization, including business development, go-to-market positioning, and client relationship cultivation.
• Coaching or facilitation certification, or equivalent demonstrated expertise in executive coaching and organizational change leadership.

Professional Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years in management consulting, enterprise technology strategy, or digital transformation
• Demonstrated track record in client-facing delivery roles, ideally with Fortune 500 or mission-critical environments
• Experience working across multiple technology domains (cloud, application delivery, infrastructure, data/AI) at a strategy level
