About Us
Volt is on a mission to make world-class training accessible to every athlete, coach, and organization. Our platform delivers science-based training programs and easy-to-use tools that help coaches, athletes, and teams train smarter, not harder. We serve both B2C (individual athletes) markets and B2B (schools, teams, training facilities, tactical/military) , giving us multiple engines of growth. We’re looking for someone who is curious, driven, and ready to help us test, learn, and scale across both.

Role Overview
We’re hiring a Technical Growth Marketer who thrives on continual experimentation and iteration. You’ll own the marketing function at Volt—leading the execution, prioritization, and continual optimization of our growth-first strategy. In this role, you’ll design and run high-velocity experiments across B2C and B2B funnels including testing new channels, messages, and tactics, then double down on what works. You’ll join a small, fast-moving team where success means being resourceful, prioritizing for impact, and using AI tools to accelerate testing and execution. If you love running experiments at high velocity and finding leverage in data, systems, and creativity, this role is for you.

Who You Are

  • You love puzzles. You’ve never met an escape room you didn’t love, and you’ve never met a funnel you didn’t want to optimize. You’re obsessed with The Devil’s Plan, and you get genuine joy from untangling complex systems until they finally click.
  • You’re a scientist at heart. You A/B test pillow configurations to optimize your sleep quality. You make spreadsheets for every large purchase.
  • You think outside the box. You see patterns where others see chaos and you’re not afraid to challenge assumptions to find what actually works.
  • You’re gritty. You search until you find signal in the noise. You adapt fast and treat failure like a data point, not a dead end.
  • You’re doggedly curious. If you have a question, you go find the answer. You don’t wait for someone else to look it up—you dive in, experiment, and figure it out yourself.

What You’ll Do

  • Treat growth as an ongoing series of experiments: hypothesize, test, measure, and repeat.
  • Work directly with company leadership to devise, prioritize, and evaluate new growth opportunities.
  • Design and run structured experiments across B2C and B2B funnels (lead gen, trials, signups).
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to create, launch, analyze, and scale campaigns faster than larger teams.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure accurate event tracking, attribution, and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track CAC, LTV, and funnel conversion, ensuring experiments are tied to outcomes.
  • Manage and optimize paid campaigns (Meta, Google, etc.) with a focus on testing and iteration.
  • Ruthlessly prioritize—invest energy in experiments that deliver the highest impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in growth marketing, marketing operations, or technical marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in running structured, iterative experiments across B2C and/or B2B funnels.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot, GA4, and paid media platforms.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, APIs, automation tools (e.g. Zapier), and event tracking.
  • Fluency with AI tools and a proven record of using them to scale testing and output.
  • Ability to thrive in a small-team environment: prioritize effectively, move quickly, and deliver results.
  • Clear communication skills to turn insights into action.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in SaaS, sports tech, or health/fitness.
  • Familiarity with advanced data analysis tools such as Python or R.
  • A background in and passion for athletics and/or fitness.

Why Volt

  • Mission-driven company shaping the future of athletic performance training.
  • A culture built on speed, curiosity, and learning through testing.
  • “Flex Fridays” to support work-life balance (no meetings—your time to focus or recharge).
  • “Flexible PTO” so you can take time off when you need it.
  • Recognized as a Best Place to Work in WA, 5 years running
  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits.
  • Salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 annually, depending on location and experience.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
