Job Description Summary
As a Systems Support Analyst, you will be responsible for daily operational work, such as reviewing and resolving tickets involving database and/or integration tasks. Your primary focus will be to support and enhance our data management and application ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, and maintain data integrity.Essential Duties:
- SQL server and Postgres administration.
- Plan and apply Microsoft SQL server security patches as needed.
- Troubleshooting and issue resolution: identify and resolve application, and database related issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain a high level of system availability.
- Provide support for emergency and urgent requests during business hours as well as non-business hours.
- Daily operational tasks including but not limited to creating users and assigning appropriate roles and permissions, execute SQL queries, compiling scripts, monitoring, and researching security tickets.
- Serve as Level II triage point for escalated tickets/calls; validate scope and severity, perform initial troubleshooting and application support as applicable, document findings, and escalate only when necessary to other IT groups while meeting defined response time expectations.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of application processes, job schedules, and issues.
- Collaboration and communication: Collaborate with IT team members, business application owners, and external partners to facilitate smooth integration of various systems and data sources.
- Software and DB maintenance: Research, installation, configure, and test software & database including database modifications, security modifications, overseeing testing through implementation.
Other Duties:
- Training and knowledge sharing: Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities with team members and end-users across the organization.
- Cross-functional support: Provide support to other IT and business teams on integration related matters and assist in resolving integration challenges across various projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience managing databases such as SQL Server and/or Postgres, and supporting applications in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of support tools such as SSMS, pgAdmin etc.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams.
- Familiarity with security principles and best practices related to databases.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of applications such as Workday, PowerFAIDS etc.
- Understanding of enterprise application architectures and database technologies and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
Work Environment:
- Typical office setting with extensive sitting and computer work
- Ability to travel around campus for meetings and other work-related events

The grade range is based on market data and the scope of responsibilities. Final pay will depend on your experience, education, and other relevant qualifications.
Salary Grade Range:
$60,225 - $96,687 per year
