Job Description

General Summary:

The Site Scheduling Supply Chain Sr. Specialist supports Vertex Cell and Genetic Therapies (VCGT) by managing day-to-day site scheduling processes and maintaining an aligned manufacturing schedule. This role coordinates across schedulers and stakeholders to provide visibility to schedule changes, priorities, and dependencies that may impact execution. The role also is responsible for RTMS support and day-to-day scheduling Teams channel coordination and updates.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the site manufacturing schedule and coordinate across schedulers to ensure a single aligned plan.
  • Identify schedule conflicts, cross-functional dependencies, and timing risks that may impact manufacturing execution, and drive alignment on required changes.
  • Provide visibility to key schedule milestones, assumptions, and changes affecting near- and mid-term manufacturing execution.
  • Coordinate day-to-day scheduling communications, updates, and issue tracking to support effective site execution.
  • Responsible for RTMS support and day-to-day scheduling Teams channel coordination and updates.
  • Oversee RTMS-related scheduling processes, data quality, user support, and issue escalation.
  • Ensure scheduling communications and system updates are accurate, timely, and aligned with site priorities and governance.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in site planning, production scheduling, supply chain, materials management, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in a cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional scheduling, planning governance, and manufacturing execution requirements.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, planning tools, and planning-relevant master data processes, including item and bill of material management.
  • Experience managing contractor support or coordinating day-to-day system and communication workflows is preferred.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Manufacturing Operations or other related disciplines
  • 6 years of relevant experience

Pay Range:

$93,000 - $139,400

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
