This role: The Commercial Finance Intern will support the Americas Commercial Finance team in driving data-driven insights, financial accuracy, and operational excellence across the retail and omni-channel business. This role offers hands-on exposure to trade spend management, revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and cross-functional business partnership within a fast-paced, high-growth CPG environment. The right individual will be highly analytical, curious, and detail-oriented, with an interest in understanding how finance partners with Sales to drive profitable growth. The main work of this team is to deliver actionable financial insights that inform decision-making and improve business performance across the Americas.

This role: The Commercial Finance Intern will support the Americas Commercial Finance team in driving data-driven insights, financial accuracy, and operational excellence across the retail and omni-channel business. Here are some of the exciting things you'll get to do:
- Support weekly and monthly reporting on sales performance, trade investment, and gross margin
- Assist in tracking promotional spend and analyzing ROI across key retail accounts
- Help reconcile trade accruals and validate financial assumptions within forecasting models
- Partner with Sales Analytics and Demand Planning teams to gather data and support business reviews
- Build and maintain Excel-based models to analyze revenue trends and customer performance
- Prepare executive-ready presentations summarizing financial performance and key insights
- Assist with annual operating plan (AOP) preparation and forecast updates
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to identify risks and opportunities
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:
- Education: Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite in Needham, MA
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship experience in finance, consulting, or analytics
- Familiarity with financial statements and margin analysis
- Experience with BI tools or ERP systems
- Interest in CPG, retail, or eCommerce industries
