Mobile App Developer Intern

Work Period: Mid May through Mid August (12 weeks total) 

Location: Onsite 5 Days a Week Needham, MA. This position has no relocation or housing assistance. 

Position Summary:
As a Mobile App Developer Intern, you will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure the quality and functionality of our mobile applications. You will assist in identifying defects, executing test cases, and helping to maintain our high standards for software quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand mobile application requirements and functionalities.
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts specifically for mobile applications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing for mobile platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and provide updates on testing progress.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Provide feedback on user interface and user experience to enhance overall application quality.
  • Support the team in maintaining documentation related to testing procedures and results.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related program.
  • Experience in mobile app testing and development is required.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Swift, Kotlin) and testing tools (e.g., Appium, Selenium, JIRA) is a plus.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
