Healthcare is in crisis and the people behind the results deserve better. With more and more data coming from wearables, lab tests, and patient–doctor interactions, we’re entering an era where data is abundant.

Junction is building the infrastructure layer for diagnostic healthcare, making patient data accessible, actionable, and automated across labs and devices. Our mission is simple but ambitious: use health data to unlock unprecedented insight into human health and disease.

If you're passionate about how technology can supercharge healthcare, you’ll fit right in.

Backed by Creandum, Point Nine, 20VC, YC, and leading angels, we’re working to solve one of the biggest challenges of our time: making healthcare personalized, proactive, and affordable. We’re already connecting millions and scaling fast.

Why this role exists, and why now

Junction is a highly analytical business. Our growth depends on understanding the economics of our products, customers, and operations, and using that understanding to make better decisions about where to invest and how to scale.

Today, much of that work happens directly with our founder and across individual teams. As we grow, we need someone who can bring it together, establish a clear financial view of the business, and help us turn data into decisions.

We're hiring our first dedicated finance leader to build and own the finance function at Junction.

This is an opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in FP&A and strategic finance who wants to take on broader ownership. You'll work directly with our CEO and leaders across the company to understand what's driving the business, identify opportunities, and shape the decisions that determine our growth.

You'll also own everything that comes with building a finance function at an early-stage company, from financial planning and reporting to managing our external bookkeeping, accounting, and tax partners. You'll have the opportunity to design the systems, processes, and ways of working that will support Junction as we scale.

We're looking for someone who is as excited about building a company as they are about finance. Someone who can move between strategic analysis and hands-on execution, and who wants the breadth, responsibility, and learning that comes with being a founding finance hire.

What you'll do

Financial Planning & Modeling: build and own our financial model, budgets, forecasts, and scenario planning. Connect financial performance to the underlying drivers of the business and help us understand where we're going.

Strategic Business Partnership: partner with the CEO and functional leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, investment decisions, pricing, unit economics, and operational performance. Use financial analysis to help the business make better decisions.

Business Performance & Visibility: establish consistent financial reporting, KPIs, and performance analysis across the company. Bring together financial and operational data to give leadership a clear view of performance, risks, and opportunities.

Own Finance Operations: take responsibility for the company's financial operations, including accounting oversight, financial close, cash management, tax coordination, and compliance. Lead our relationships with external bookkeeping, accounting, and tax partners, ensuring the work is accurate, timely, and well managed.

Build the Finance Function: design and implement the processes, tools, reporting, and controls that Junction needs as it grows. Determine what to build internally, what to outsource, and how the function should evolve with the business.

What success looks like
  • A trusted financial model and forecasting process that leadership uses to make decisions

  • Consistent visibility into the financial and operational performance of the business

  • Financial analysis that meaningfully informs growth, pricing, investment, and resource allocation decisions

  • A well-run finance function, with reliable reporting, accounting, tax coordination, and financial processes

  • A strong finance partnership with the CEO and functional leaders that reduces founder dependency and helps the business scale

What we're looking for
  • 6+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a closely related operating finance role, with significant ownership of financial modeling and forecasting

  • Experience partnering with business leaders and using financial analysis to influence strategic or operational decisions

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including an ability to connect financial outcomes to commercial and operational drivers

  • Experience in a high-growth technology company, ideally at a stage where financial systems and processes were still being built

  • A builder's mindset and an appetite for broad ownership. You're excited to take responsibility for the entire finance function, not just one part of it

  • Enough accounting and financial operations knowledge to confidently own reporting, manage external providers, and ensure the company's financial obligations are met

  • A hands-on approach. You're comfortable working directly with data, building models, managing processes, and figuring things out without a large team

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to make financial analysis useful to people outside finance

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a genuine interest in learning new areas of finance as the business grows

Nice to have
  • Experience as an early finance hire or helping build a finance function from scratch

  • Experience in healthcare technology, infrastructure software, marketplaces, or other operationally complex businesses (SaaS billing experience a plus)

  • Experience with transaction-based or usage-based business models and unit economics

  • Experience supporting pricing, commercial strategy, or business expansion decisions

  • Experience managing outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, or tax relationships

  • Your salary is dependent on your location and experience level

  • Equity (extended exercise post 2 years of employment)

  • Company and team offsites

  • Monthly learning budget of $150 for personal development and productivity

  • $100 monthly wellness budget

  • Flexible, remote-first working, including $1K for home office equipment

  • Coworking budget

  • 36 days paid time off (including bank holidays)

  • Premium healthcare coverage

  • 4% monthly contribution to pension/401k

  • Yearly blood test on us

  • Enhanced parental, foster, and adoption leave

Important details before applying:

  • We only hire folks physically based in GMT and EST timezones

  • We do not sponsor visas right now given our stage
