Responsibilities:
- Lead complex CAD and EDA tool development, enhancement, and support projects
- Drive AI and machine learning adoption within CAD workflows and engineering processes
- Develop, debug, and improve design, layout, simulation, and verification tools and flows
- Partner with design and process engineering teams to optimize semiconductor development methodologies
- Provide technical guidance, training, and documentation for new tools and capabilities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting semiconductor design flows, EDA tools, and CAD methodologies
- Experience with IC design CAD tools, including schematic, layout, simulation, and verification environments
- Strong programming fundamentals with experience in one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Perl, Lisp, SKILL, or Visual Basic
- Knowledge of VLSI design concepts and CMOS circuit design fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience applying AI, large language models (LLMs), or agentic AI frameworks to engineering workflows
- Experience with Unix environments and shell scripting
- Familiarity with RTL-to-GDS design flows and tools such as Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, or SpyGlass
- Experience with analog or digital verification flows, parasitic extraction, or design database version control systems
