As a CAD Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, improving, and supporting design automation tools and workflows used across integrated circuit design, physical implementation, and verification. You'll work closely with design, process, and software engineering teams to enhance productivity, introduce new technologies, and help drive the adoption of AI and machine learning within engineering workflows.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, evaluation, and enhancement of CAD and EDA tools, flows, and methodologies
  • Drive large-scale technical projects and provide expertise within CAD, design automation, and verification domains
  • Guide AI and machine learning integration across CAD workflows and engineering applications
  • Collaborate with design and process engineering teams to improve design efficiency and tool effectiveness
  • Deliver training, documentation, and technical support for new tools, processes, and methodologies

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor engineering, CAD, EDA, design automation, verification, or related areas
  • Experience with IC design CAD tools, including schematic capture, layout, simulation, and verification
  • Strong programming skills with experience in Python and at least one additional language such as SKILL, C, C++, Perl, Lisp, or Visual Basic
  • Knowledge of CMOS circuit design and implementation, including area, performance, and power tradeoffs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with AI/ML, large language models, agentic AI, or AI-enabled engineering applications
  • Experience with RTL-to-GDSII implementation flows and tools such as Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, or SpyGlass
  • Experience with analog or digital verification flows, parasitic extraction flows, or design database version control systems
  • Experience working in Unix environments and developing shell scripts
