Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting many aspects of Beam’s accounting processes. This role will closely interact with the other teams to ensure proper accounting for their activities.

  • Contribute to monthly close processes, such as partnering with other departments regarding accrual determination, issue resolution, journal entries and account reconciliations, including cash and investments.
  • Assist with preparation of internal and external financial statements as needed.
  • Contribute to system implementations, fundraising, etc.
  • Provide support for annual financial statement audits and periodic reviews, including Sarbanes-Oxley control reviews.
  • Ad hoc analysis and other special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and collaborative skills.
  • Must be able to make judgment calls regarding the resolution of issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task on competing and deadline sensitive priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and process orientated.

The salary range below reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, scope of job, internal comparisons, and market data.
